Weeks Nine and Ten -- A Big Fat Hen!

I'm going to blend these two weeks because they were about revising the draft and turning it in as a final copy. I am so thankful to Katherine, Fred, Cheri, Kathe, and Carolyn for giving me feedback outside of the class during the final weeks. After submitting my first draft, I was able to squeeze about two pages of "wordiness" out of it. I was very happy with the way it turned out after the additional editing.

The final feedback from my professor:

Erin - This is a model thesis. It addresses both the head and the heart and it's obvious that you've used a considerable degree of both in crafting it. You make a strong case for the value of drama play for young children and show in detail how it can help students (with willing teachers) meet CCSS standards. I loved reading your writing not only because I share your view of the value that studying and performing Shakespeare can have on children, but also because you write with sprezzatura! Also, thank you for introducing me to a the Tolkien concept of "eucatastrophe," a term with which I was unfamiliar.

Thank you for all of your hard work this term, and especially for your feedback to others in the class. It was invariably meaty and substantive. Have a good break, and best of luck to you in your studies, Erin!
