Last week I stage managed Liliom. This was my fourth time stage managing and I got busted big time. You see, I had been carting around a big ol' stage manager kit like a good lil' stage manager for the first three readings and it was never used. Never cracked that thing open. So, I decided to leave it at home this time and wouldn't you know it:

"Erin, do you have a band aid?"
"Erin, do you have a highlighter?"
"Erin, do you have any gaffe tape?"

Okay, Universe, I get it. I need to be prepared.

What else?

** Blessed Unrest's  Eurydice's Dream -- Fred and I had a little chuckle to ourselves because they made a big announcement before the show that there would be nudity and suggestions of sexually explicit acts during the performance....and, gosh, what they did was so tame compared to what we imagined it could have been. Maybe we've been seeing too much European theater.

** Tribeca Film Festival this week. We saw: Farah Goes Bang, The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Some Velvet Morning. Fred also saw Sunlight Jr. and Byzantium. I did NOT volunteer to see that last one because it's a Vampire Movie (like we need another one of those) and - here's little known fact about me: I was very scared of vampires when I was a young girl. To this day, I cannot sleep with my neck exposed. Of course, as an adult, I know I'm not going to be bit by a vampire in the night...but I still tuck my covers up all around my chin out of habit.
