We had another rough night last night. My son was up every hour or so from midnight to 6am. I finally decided to just give up...and wouldn't you know it? I step away for three minutes to make coffee and he fell asleep on his activity mat for two hours!
I used that time to clean out two closets. I found a Netflix DVD that I've been holding onto for a couple of months, too. (Documentary "The Way We Get By") I popped it in the DVD player once Finn woke up & needed to nurse. It felt good to get those closets clean and to purposefully sit down and watch a movie that I've been "meaning to get to" forever.
Later, while making dinner, I listened to this week's TheatreFolk podcast. It was an interview with a guy that had worked many years in children's theater. He left the biz when he realized that he just didn't have the hustle. I have been on the fence about my own hustle, so it was good to listen to his point of view and meditate on it.
