Monday was a day off from work. Thanks, Martin Luther King, Jr. - I really needed a day. No. Really. Thank you.

I finally purchased a new printer and set it up all by myself. That probably doesn't seem like a big deal, but I usually leave that sort of thing to Fred. I was quite pleased with myself.

I also went to Joe's Pub for the first time. Here's the thing with these cabaret spaces: I think the managers need to count the seats and then lose 20 percent of them. I can't deal with all these little cabaret chairs smooshed together every time I go to a cabaret. Aside from the crowded chairs, Joe's Pub is great. It doesn't smell like pee, so it's already infinitely classier than two other venues that come to my mind.

This week I watched:
** "The Impossible" - fantastic!
** "Silver Linings Playbook"  - I don't get the hype...?
** "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" -- my favorite! Oh, when that crane took flight, I cried a nice, hard cry. I loved that. I love a good cry. I feel so clean afterward.
