Well, Saturday was Groundhog day. I love the movie (with Bill Murray) and I usually watch it every February 2, but this year was a no go because I am on a hamster wheel. It's like Groundhog day in my real life. American Bard Theater Company started up its Exploration Project. We are doing 12 table reads in six weeks. This week, we read Moliere by Sabina Bernman, Trifles By Susan Glaspell and Mauritius. I enjoy reading plays out loud. When I needed to avoid stuff (which happened more frequently than I could afford, unfortunately) I watched TV. I was super excited about the debut of "Shakespeare Uncovered". I also watched my screeners of "The Sessions" and "Zero Dark Thirty" -- I appreciated "Zero Dark Thirty", but I connected more with "The Sessions". It was such a compassionate story. (That said, I loved Jessica Chastain's role in ZDT. If I was offered a role like that, I'd accept it. Maybe it's not a terribly compassionate role, but I certainly wouldn't look that gift horse in the mouth!) Photo credit
