The most important thing that happened last week is that Fred finished his deployment! He is now back in the states and I couldn't be happier.
I participated in three readings this week: a new piece called "Amanuensis" by Lauren Feldman (a beautiful heightened language play based on Milton's "Paradise Lost"), Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard" (which I read/analyzed for school twice, but had never read out loud with a full cast) and Lanford Wilson's adaptation of "Ghosts". I enjoyed all three readings.
I also attended a workshop at ART/NY for off-off Broadway arts administrators. I can't tell you how helpful it has been for me over the past four years to attend these workshops. I always walk away feeling so much more hopeful. Arts administration is hard. It's not my first choice of work (of course I'd rather be acting!) but I'm pretty good at it. Thanks, ART/NY!
