So, my husband had a meeting tonight. I decided to test this theory on my own. Finn took two 2-hour naps today and "seemed" tired at 7pm, so I rocked him to sleep. He's…still sleeping (it's 11pm). The only other time he's done this is when my parents were in town and they put him down at 7:30pm. He slept till almost 4am then. Would it be too much to hope he does the same thing again tonight?
Because I could really get on board with that.
7pm - 11:30pm -- slept!
11:30 - midnight -- nursed
midnight - 2am -- slept!!
2 - 2:30am -- nursed
2:30 - 4:30am -- slept!!!
Then it got rough:
4:30 - 6am -- up, crying with gas issues
6 - 7:30am -- hanging with dad, eventually slept (….?!)
7:30 - 9am -- hanging with me, mostly slept (….!) Also, pee'd magnificently all over my front.
This is probably the most sleep he's ever had in one committed time ("We are sleeping now, Finn. Let's work on going back to sleep.") Overall, I'm thinking he got roughly 11 hours. I just wish he was able to get them all at once without major cheerleader from us. Who are these mythical baby creatures I hear about that go down at 7pm and you hear not a peep until 7am…? I'm sorry, WHUT?! I don't think my kid will ever do that.
