Today I visited an old friend from work. It was a rainy day and I've been so tired...I wondered how I was going to possibly string enough sentences together to appear social.
Apparently, my friend felt the same way. As we were leaving the coffee shop after our visit, she confessed that she had wanted to cancel. "You know, it was so gloomy out...and I felt so gloomy. But I don't feel gloomy now!"
And it's true. Just getting up the energy to begin is often the hardest thing. Once you get going, it's not hard to follow through and even - gosh, really? - enjoy yourself.
Today was the second day in a row that I missed the chance to "sleep when the baby sleeps" (rather, attempt to sleep.) I am really tired, bone tired; but I just rolled up my sleeves and dug into two memorization projects anyway. One is now complete (yay!) and the other is halfway there.
