I have a black eye!

I was putting my son's exer-saucer up in its storage space and it fell on me. It fell on my FACE. Now I have a black eye!

I usually type out a few thoughts on my phone at the end of the day when I'm nursing my son to bed, but - oof - I took the night off because I was so tired and my face was hurting. We went to brunch with a friend during the day and my son decided to nap on the train ride into town and back home again. So -- * I * didn't get a nap yesterday!  Boo!

My friend asked me during brunch when I would return to auditioning. Good question. Originally, I thought I'd get back to it in January. Well, that was before I had a six month old (who will be a nine month old in January!)  I've decided to be more intentional about it. I can't get back on a hamster wheel and play the numbers game right now. I aim to get intentional about a lot of things.

There's a work going on in me….but I don't know what it is. I'm trying to get out of my own way.
